Background
On June 24, 2026, two consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck northern Venezuela. Thousands of families lost everything — their homes, their belongings, sometimes loved ones. Faced with the scale of the needs, La Caravane Sans Frontières mobilized immediately.
Our actions
A first solidarity collection
From the very first days, a collection of hygiene supplies, medical equipment and non-perishable food was organized at the Sainte-Clotilde Parish. The items collected were shipped by boat to the affected areas.
A mission on the ground
Today, the association is traveling directly to Venezuela to continue its work in the field. Financial donations received make it possible to buy locally the equipment and goods the population needs most — a way to act quickly, close to the realities on the ground, while also supporting the local economy.
Cradles of hope
An initiative of La Caravane Sans Frontières, with the support of the Sainte-Clotilde – La Jonction Parish: building wooden cradles in Venezuela for families affected by the earthquake. Guillermo, a local carpenter, and his team build these cradles using local materials — a gesture of solidarity that also supports the country’s economy and craftspeople – Learn more about this initiative
